Mode of Action: Systemic fungicide
Thiophanate Methyl exhibits systemic action via root and foliar uptake, translocating through the xylem to protect new growth. It inhibits fungal cell division by disrupting mitotic spindle formation, blocking fungal growth and reproduction. Its dual preventive and curative properties enable it to suppress early infections as well as established fungal colonies, ensuring prolonged protection of leaves, stems, and root tissues.
